About DETERMIND & the project so far
As we approach the planned end date of the project, the team thought it would be beneficial to update the participants on the study’s progress and highlight our future aims.
Elena Herrero – Research Assistant
Elena Herrero is a Research Assistant for the DETERMIND project. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, Neuroscience focus.

I am delighted to have joined the Sussex DETERMIND team in July 2022, having been welcomed with nothing but smiles (and plenty of coffee!). DETERMIND is a project close to my heart because my family is personally affected by dementia, so I feel truly honoured to have the opportunity to support other families to have their voices heard in future policy.
