DETERMIND contributes to UK Covid Inquiry

It was a great honour for Professor Sube Banerjee (DETERMIND lead) and Dr Ben Hicks (DETERMIND Programme Manager) to be invited to author the UK Covid Inquiry report. The report details the disproportionate impact the Covid-19 pandemic had on people with dementia and their caregivers and outlines recommendations for better supporting people in any future lockdowns.

Professor Banerjee presented evidence based largely on findings from the DETERMIND study to the Inquiry, and this is now available to watch on YouTube. This is only the start of the impact the project will have as our team begins to analyse the huge quantity of data collected. A massive thank you to all of our brilliant participants for everything they have done to date and for their ongoing contribution.
