DETERMIND at Nottingham Pride

In July, our Nottingham team were able to host a DETERMIND study stall at Nottingham Pride. We shared information about the Seldom Heard Voices study, as well as how to get involved, with the thousands of people from across the East Midlands who were in attendance.

We really enjoyed the buzzing atmosphere while handing out DETERMIND flyers, stickers, and lots of sweets! The stall gained a lot of interest, and we were able to chat with people of all ages and backgrounds about the work that we do at DETERMIND.

At DETERMIND, we're committed to ensuring that dementia research reflects the experiences of everyone. For too long, LGBTQIA+ communities have been underrepresented in research, and every conversation we had at Pride reinforced why this work matters.


A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, pick up a flyer, or share their own experiences with us. It was a privilege to be part of such a welcoming, vibrant celebration of community!
