Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to present my research at this years Alzheimer Europe conference in Dublin. This work explores the experiences of people from the LGBTQIA+ community affected by dementia, and the potential role that online support forums may play in supporting this population. Although presenting my work for the first time was quite nerve-wracking, it was incredibly encouraging to see so many people attend this session, and to be able to contribute to conversations around making dementia care and support more inclusive for LGBTQIA+ communities.
